He is survived by: his wife Sandra Ernestine Nelson Yates; his children, Ralph, Jr., Rayven Yates, Rayngisha Yates, Ellen Nelson and Phoebe Nelson; his sister Denise Brown (Robert); his grandchildren, Jakira Nelson Barbour, Isaiah Yates and Lilyana Brown; and his brother-in-law Chris Nelson.
