He is survived by: his wife Edna C. Utz; his children, Sharon U. Johnson (Daniel) of Barboursville and Stephen R. Utz of Culpeper; his grandchildren, Amelia Johnson (Mia) and Leslie Johnson; and his siblings, Mary U. Nichol (Betty) of Charlottesville and Robert E. Utz (Betty) of Brightwood. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
