She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Lee Rutherford and Lotis Hettie Jenkins Fincham; her husband Douglas Ralph Bowman; and her brothers, Lee Rutherford, John Rutherford and Eugene Rutherford.
She is survived by: her daughter Tammy Johnson (Michael); her siblings, Ronnie Rutherford (Tammie), Ann Carpenter (Montie), Emma Moore (Wayne) and Mary Wood (Bob); her grandchildren, Heather Smith, Cory May, Alyssa Johnson and Haley Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Darius Carpenter, Briyana Simpson, Kylie May, Aleeyah May, Landon May, Torah Williams, Zebulan Williams and Shai Williams.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel (59 Edgewood School Ln, Madison, VA 22727).
