She was predeceased by: her parents, Foster M. Bittinger and Esther Bittinger Spangler; and her sisters, Kathleen Wambolt and Annabelle Whitacre. She is survived by: her husband Hubert Nathaniel Whitten, Jr.; her children, Sharon Reich (Ronald) of New Hope, Rhonda Whitten of Cincinnati, OH, Wendy Whitten (Fred Ortiz) of Waynesboro and Rev. David Whitten (Judith) of Richmond; her brother Emmert Bittinger (Esther) of Bridgewater; and her brother-in-law Charles Whitacre of McPherson, KS. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
