She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Steinis and Anna Steinis (Norris); her husband Edward Ward; and her brother James Steinis. She is survived by: her children, Terence Ward (Mia) of Waynesboro, Dorian Ward of Bridgewater and Deanna Shoemaker (William) of Harrisonburg; and her grandchildren, Elaina and Liberty.
