It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Leon Adkins (Bridgewater, Virginia), born in McGaheysville, Virginia, who passed away on September 7, 2019, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Adkins and Almeda Miller Adkins; his wife Donna Rae Adkins; his granddaughter Justice Smith; and his sisters, Beverly Shoemaker and Alice Adkins.
He is survived by: his daughter Kristen Noel Flanary of Raleigh, NC; his stepdaughters, Drema Smith of Bridgewater and Sonja Chaplin of Dayton; and his sister Peggy Nadeau of McGaheysville. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
