It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Eli Long (Bridgewater, Virginia), who passed away on February 28, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Cora Alice (Michael); his siblings, Elma "Boots" Trammel, Lela Holsinger, Helen Shifflett, Lucile Ruleman, Verla Curry and Elmer "Lefty" Long, Jr.; and also La-Thon Ware.
He is survived by: his parent Elmer Roy Long, Sr.; his son Dale R. Long of Bridgewater; his granddaughters, Nicole Ware of Dayton and Jeannie Braithwaite (Frank) of New Market; his great grandchildren, Jayden Ware and Jorden Ware; his brother Harold Don Long of Bridgewater; and also Barbara Keppel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spring Creek Church of the Nazarene, Youth Group, 8863 Nazarene Church Rd., Bridgewater, VA 22812.
