Richard Lee Gilkerson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 18, 2022, at the age of 92, Richard Lee Gilkerson of Bridgewater, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alpha Lee and Estella Alice Higgs Gilkerson; his son Rick Gilkerson; his siblings, Carlos Gilkerson and Faye Fries; and his granddaughter-in-law Ashley Gilkerson.
He is survived by: his children, Suzy Benedict (Steve), Joe Gilkerson (Ann), Tony Gilkerson (Donna), Bobby Gilkerson (Scarlotte) and Lisa Ashburn (Tim); and his brother Harold Gilkerson. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
