She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Simmons, and Lucille Simmons, Sr. (DeVelbliss); her husband Winston Ringgold; and her brother Vernon Paul Simmons, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Ricky Ringgold of Dayton and Dale Ringgold of Bridgewater; her siblings, Bonnie Louise Riggleman (Willie June Lambert) of Mt. Sidney, Larry James Simmons (Beth) of Fort Pierce, FL and Richard Lee Simmons (Diana) of Rockingham; her sister-in-law Nina Mae Simmons of Moorefield, WV; her daughter-in-law Sharon Ringgold of Dayton; her grandchildren, Cody Glick (Hannah), Logan Glick (Megan Burruss), Drew Glick, Drew Estep (Heather) and Robert Koblick; and her great grandchild Thatcher Glick. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
