He is survived by: his mother Betty Crabtree (Bailey); his wife Ellen Yager (Popaden); his children, Rebecca Thornton of North Carolina, Christina Serrano (Ismael) of Virginia and C. J. Crabtree (Megan) of Virginia; and his siblings, Debbie Conner of North Carolina, Donald Crabtree of Virginia and Mike Alexander of North Carolina. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
