He is survived by: his parent Nora Sayre (Miller); his spouse Gaynell Sayre (Wampler); his children, Barbara Sayre Trotter of Charlottesville, VA, Steven Earle Sayre (Marcia) of Charlottesville and Philip John Sayre of Frederick, MD; his sisters, Bonnie Ankers, Louise Vakil and Betty Rowe of Waynesboro; his grandchildren, Jessica Meyer (Matthew), Rebecca Sayre (Erfaan Mojgani), Laura Baker (Philip), Lindsay Lam (Ryan), Matthew Sayre, Sarah Trotter and Christopher Trotter; and his great grandchildren, Claire Baker, Ian Baker, Esme Lam, Charlotte Meyer, Henry Meyer and Nora Mojgani.
