It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Rebecca Rhodes of Bridgewater, Virginia, born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 25, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph F. Whitacre and Bertha Whitacre (Fike); and her siblings, Lois Clark, Naomi Waggy, Olive Peters, Wilda Rohrer, Grace Davis, Ted Whitacre, Charity Alger and Eunice Baker.
She is survived by: her husband Leon W. Rhodes; her children, Janet Partlow of Bridgewater and Robert Rhodes (Lisa) of Salem; her granddaughters, Maria Partlow and Krista Carter (Heath); and her great grandchildren, Ryan Mutherspaw, Jr., Trey Mutherspaw, Alyvia Partlow and Jace Carter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
