He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Lilly and Edna Lilly (Eye); and his siblings, Vernie Lee, Lucille VanPelt, Bonnie Propst, Raymond and Leroy Lilly.

He is survived by: his wife Nora Lilly; his son Roger Lilly of Rockingham; and his grandson Josh Widdowfield of Bridgewater.
