He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Henry and Eva Pearl Shifflett Mowbray; his sons, Donnie Mowbray and Jesse Mowbray; his siblings, Herbert Mowbray, Nelson "Boots" Mowbray, Robert Mowbray and Maxine Donovan; his brother-in-law Carroll Walters; and his son-in-law Kenny Wimer.
He is survived by: his children, Marie Mowbray Reed (Mike) of Stuarts Draft, Eva May Lambert (Calvin) of Churchville, Grover Mowbray Jr. of Bridgewater and Margie Martson; his siblings, Douglas "Nookie" Mowbray (Kay) of Harrisonburg, Flossie Walters of Keezletown and Kenneth Mowbray of Harrisonburg; and his grandchildren, Jenny, Katrina, Jessie, Benji, Shay, Jamie, Calvin Jr., Christerpher, Grover, Michael, Dougie, Jessica and Stephanie. He is also survived by 31 great grandchildren.
