He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harrison and Maudy Jane Puffenbarger (Hoover); his wife Lucille "Lucy" Crummett; and his siblings, Stover Lee Puffenbarger, Samuel Archie Puffenbarger and Lou Emma Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary Franklin Puffenbarger (Janet) of Elkton and Jerry Wayne Puffenbarger of Bridgewater; and his siblings, Johnny Puffenbarger of Weyers Cave, Leafy Simmons and Bertha Shank (Wayne) of Mount Solon.
