It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Milton Bowman (Bridgewater, Virginia), born in Union Bridge, Maryland, who passed away on March 22, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Berkley Owen and Gertrude Rosabelle Flora Bowman. He is survived by: his children, Glen Bowman (Beth Poore-Bowman), Carl Bowman (Laura Desportes Bowman), Anne Lintner (Pat) and Joyce Eller (Marlin); and his siblings, Freeda Snavely, Jim Bowman (Sylvia) and Lois Whitmore (Joe). He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made in Fred's honor to the Berkley O. and Edith Fry Bowman Scholarship fund at Bridgewater College, Bridgewater, Virginia 22812.
