It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eva Mae Gardner Reeves of Bridgewater, Virginia, born in Hershey, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 22, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Gardner and Kitty Grace Gardner (Showalter); her husband Robert Garland "Bob" Reeves; her son Bruce Reeves; her granddaughter Stephanie Miller; and her siblings, Hazel Garber, Hilda Ruff, Esther Gardner, Herschel Gardner, Merle Gardner, Nelson Gardner, Harry Gardner and Orville Gardner.

She is survived by: her children, Donna Bowman (David) of Frederick, MD, Connie Minnick (Barry) of Bridgewater and Kenneth Reeves (Phyllis) of Broadway; her daughter-in-law Mary Beth Reeves of Inwood, WV; and her grandchildren, Micah Bowman (Dana), Seth Bowman, Elizabeth Fricke (John), Amanda Gogola (Jacob), Heather Murray (Daniel "D. J."), Danielle Minnick (Jamie Eye), Brett Minnick (Ann) and Sarah Reeves.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shenandoah District Church of the Brethren, Disaster Program, P.O. Box 67, Weyers Cave, VA 24486 or Central Valley Habitat for Humanity, PO Box 245, Bridgewater, VA 22812.

“Dear Connie and family, we were so very fortunate to know your phenomenal mother. As you know, she was always a force to be reckoned with and an apt partner for your wonderful father. We enjoyed many fine times with Eva and embrace the fact that she loved her entire family but we are particularly happy with the love that she had for those relatives which we shared between our two families.
