She was predeceased by: her parents, John Winston and Blanche Donovan Payne; her husband Earl A. Budd; and her sisters, Jannese P. Marine, Eleanor P. Roller and Virginia P. Wine.

She is survived by: her children, Laura Lee B. Fleishman (Jeff) of Williamsburg, Ann B. Mills (Garth) of Bridgewater, John Patrick Budd, Sr. (Tracy) of Roanoke and Edward F. "Ted" Budd (Carrie) of Harrisonburg; and her grandchildren, Winston Fleishman Spong (Chase), Garth Mills, Jr. (Maribeth), Daniel Mills (Gabi), Molly Mills Yazman (Ben), Holland Budd, John P. Budd, Jr. (Kristen), Mary Adams, Katie Budd Hall (Christopher), Scott Budd (Theresa), Jack Budd (Bailey Dismore) and Allison Budd. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
