He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude W. Byrd and Bernice G. Byrd; his daughter Jane Alane Byrd; and his brothers, Harry R. Byrd, Richard W. Byrd and L. Thomas Byrd.
He is survived by: his daughter Judy B. Binns (Richard) of Midlothian, VA; his grandchildren, David Lawrence Binns (Christa) of Westminster, MD and Emily B. Winberry (Gabe) of Cary, NC; his great grandchildren, Eli Lawrence Binns, Oliver Edward Binns, Colin Gabriel Winberry, Anne Winberry of Virginia and Henry Lawrence Winberry; his wife Flora H. Byrd; his sister Martha B. Cline of Lynchburg, VA; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy R. Byrd of Harrisonburg, VA, Elaine S. Byrd of Murrysville, PA, Eloise L. Byrd of McLean, VA and Charlotte M. Harvey of Bridgewater, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
