He was predeceased by: his parents, Don I. Schaerrer and Zora Schaerrer (Robbins); and his brother Glenn Schaerrer of Downey, CA.. He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann Schaerrer (Potz); his children, Sean Eric Hillery of Brenham, TX, Shemaine Evonne Croushorn (Dirk) of Dayton, Joseph Irving Schaerrer of Bridgewater and Stephen Paul Schaerrer of Tampa, FL; and his brother Merrill Lester Schaerrer of Poway, CA.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
