She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Hilbert and Alma Hilbert (Gardner); and her sister Wandamay Williams. She is survived by: her husband Sam "S. L." Simmons; her son Dennis Simmons; and her siblings-in-law, Pat Hunter, William L. Simmons and Grant D. Simmons.
