She was predeceased by: her son Timothy Shafer. She is survived by: her children, Scott Shafer (Terri) of Old Tappan, NJ and Stacy Shafer of Staunton; and her sister Charlene Harwood (Dave) of Crawfordsville, Indiana.. She is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a niece and nephew.
In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be made to the American Heart Association in her honor.
