He is survived by: his spouse Ferne Barnhart; his children, Darlene (Naylor Abror), Rose Mary (Allan Good), Edwin, Melody, Faith and Fonda Showalter; and his siblings, James (Loretta), Isaac (Emma), Elizabeth (late Raymond Shenk), Rachel (late David Bennett), Orpha Simrell, Naomi (Timothy Shell), Miriam Showalter and Anna Showalter.
