He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sr. Smith and Ruth Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Rodney Smith, Howard "Cotton" Smith, Jeannette Smith McWilliams and Clarissa Smith Eaton; his children, Charles A. Smith and Deanna Sari; his sister Charlsie Rydel; his grandchildren, Earl Sari, Jr., Brooke Sari Bawa and Corbin H. Smith; and his great grandchild Samuel Bawa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
