It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobbie Spencer Rusmisel of Bridgewater, Virginia, who passed away on June 29, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Rusmisel and Pansy Rusmisel (Landes); his former wife Frances Rusmisel (Cox); his wife Ruth "Peg" Rusmisel; and his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Hilbert, R. DeWitt Rusmisel, Sr. and Guy Rusmisel.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Magalis (Gordon), Don Rusmisel (Bonnie), Jim Rusmisel (Lavonne) and Dale Rusmisel; his sister Dorsilla Higgs of Harrisonburg; his grandchildren, Travis A. Rusmisel, Wesley A. Rusmisel (Tammy), Jennifer L. Prawdzik (Greg), Autumn F. Pequignot (Adam), Lee S. Magalis (Amber), Kurt M. Magalis (Brittany) and Dillon L. Rusmisel; his great grandchildren, Shannon L. Rusmisel, Cody R. Rusmisel, Justin K. Berry, Camryn L. Berry, Allison M. Prawdzik, Mara J. Pequignot, Zadie R. Magalis and Clover L. Magalis; his stepchildren, Jerry Shorb (Carolyn) and Stephanie Hamm; and his stepgrandchildren, Sterling Shorb (Kara), Scott Shorb (Leah), Shannon Hammond (Derek), Justin Hamm (Kristy) and Jared Hamm (Bridget). He is also survived by eight step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
