He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynnwood A. Boyers (L. A.) and Lula Huffman Boyers of Harrisonburg; and his siblings, Hubert, Sr. of Harrisonburg, Woodrow, Sr. of Harrisonburg, Leo of Harrisonburg, Ira of Harrisonburg, Nancy, Margaret Long, Thelma Lambert and Leta Wenger.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Mae Dove; his caregiver Manager; his children, Kenny Boyers (Kimberly) of McGaheysville, Virginia, Karma Witmer (Keith) of Mount Joy and Karla Hignite (Greg) of San Antonio, Texas; his grandchildren, Chad Witmer (Christyna), Katelyn Werner (Kurt), Derek Witmer, Anissa Boyers and Kyra Boyers; and his great grandchild Luca Alexander Werner.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites contributions to be made to the "Emergency Disaster Program" of the Church of the Brethren, 1451 Dundee Avenue, Elgin, Illinois, 60120; to the Sentara RMH Foundation Fund, 2010 Health Campus Drive, Harrisonburg, Virginia, 22801; or to a charity of the individual's choice.
