She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Samuel Kiracofe and Hazel Irene Kiracofe (Moore); her husband Dr. John P. Heatwole; her brother Gary Kiracofe; and her grandson-in-law Kervens Brun.

She is survived by: her children, Cindy Fike (Mike) of Bridgewater, VA, Deb Payton of Bloomingburg, NY and Ken Heatwole, MD (Ginny) of Richmond, VA; her grandchildren, Shannon Fike (Loretta Rose) of Williamsville, VT, Zane Long (Stephanie) of Pittsburgh, PA, Heather Brun (Kurby Herisse) of Bloomingburg, NY and Chris Heatwole (Kate) of Gordonsville; her great grandchildren, Maddie, Ellie Heatwole, Isla Brun and Parker Long; and her sister Carolyn Joyce.
