He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Barrett, Sr. of Washington and Ruby Denson Barrett; and his siblings, Iris Juanita Kiernan, Richard Barrett, Jr. of Washington, Enos Lee Barrett, Vernon Carroll Barrett and Douglas McArthur Barrett.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Phelps Barrett; his nieces and nephews, Cindy Harrup Flauter (Matt), Amy Harrup Coggeshall (Jerry), Kristen Nicole Phelps, Laura Barrett, Bridgette Barrett Johnson (Grady), Sherry Barrett, John Kiernan and Robert Barrett; his great-niece Faith Ann Johnson; and his great-nephews, Jonathan Coggeshall, Andrew Flauter and Aaron Coggeshall.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
