He was predeceased by: his parents, L. F. Draper and Ethel Shaffer Draper; his stepmother Katherine Francis Draper; his wife Patricia Person Draper; his brother Joe Draper (Lucy); and his brother-in-law Joe Person.
He is survived by: his children, Lu Haywood (Bill) of Newport News, Steve Draper (Lisa) of Boykins and Sandy Black (Jon) of Aberdeen, NC.; and his grandsons, Rev. Nathan Black (Dixie), Trent Black, Chase Black, Will Black and Bryan Draper.
