With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rolo Turner Lassiter Jr. of Boykins, Virginia, born in Whitakers, North Carolina, who passed away on April 24, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorelle Taylor Lassiter and Rolo Turner Lassiter; and his siblings, Eddie Lassiter, Irene Ford and Ella Pearce.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Edwards Lassiter; his children, Rolo T. Lassiter, III (Pammy), Lisa Haver (David) and Lil Hawthorne (Johnny); his grandchildren, Joey Lassiter (Cassie), Dr. Brian Haver (Maggie), Grant Haver (Stephanie), Will Hawthorne (Rachel), Ashton Hawthorne and Ann Morgan Hawthorne; and his great grandchildren, Lily Marie Lassiter, Luka Stephen Lassiter, Lucien Turner Haver and Henley Claire Hawthorne.
Memorial donations may be made to Boykins Baptist Church or Boykins Masonic Lodge.
