He was predeceased by: his parents, John Charles Vargo, Sr. and Josephine Hasty Vargo; his brother John "Buck" Vargo, Jr.; his niece Angelina V. Harris; his parents-in-law, Norman H. and Lona B. Edwards; and his brother-in-law Frederick R. O'Neal.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Edwards Vargo; his daughter Kelly Vargo Byers (Adam) of Jarratt; his siblings, Mary Vargo O'Neal of Rodanthe, NC and Thomas E. Vargo of Oriental, NC; and his siblings-in-law, Gracie K. Vargo and Alan C. Edwards (Beverly). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Thursday in Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Bronco Rod and Gun Club, c/o Jayton Lowe, 30354 Sycamore Avenue, Sedley, VA 23878.
