He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Hazel Mosley Crutchfield; and his brothers, Charles, Walter and James Crutchfield.
He is survived by: his wife Bettye Jean Sands Crutchfield of Clarksville, VA; and his children, Thomas Crutchfield of Boydton, VA and Deborah C. Duncan (Roger) of Boydton, VA. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; one sister.
