He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Travis Carter of Boydton, VA; his children, Charles Carter, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Barry Carter (Metztli) of Kenbridge, VA and Cheryl Carter-Ellis of Willow Spring, NC; and his sisters, Mozelle Woods of Chase City, VA, Helen Evans (Pete) of Boydton, VA and Mildred Wood (Lloyd) of Jersey City, NJ. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
