It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alan Joseph Young of Boyce, Virginia, born in Bethesda, Maryland, who passed away on September 9, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Young and Lewis Young; and his sister Nikki Chamblee. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Robert Pfeiffer (Kristi) of Fairfax, VA, Deborah Matthews (Thomas) of Clear Brook, VA, Jennifer Stiles (Todd) of Clear Brook, VA and Virginia Wallen (Kevin) of Wake Forest, NC; his grandchildren, Tyler Matthews (Amber), Luke Matthews, Katelyn Matthews, Alayna Stiles, Noah Wallen, Carson Wallen, Amelia Wallen, Trent Pfeiffer and Bryce Pfeiffer; and his siblings, Paul Young (Sue), Kathi Coldren (Jeff), Jeff Young and Linda Nysmith (Ken). He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at 890 W Main St, Berryville, VA 22611. A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
