He is survived by: his daughters, Rosalita Carey, Sheila Dorsey (Jonathan) and Blythe Carey Powe (Moses); his brothers, Bushrod N. Carey, Sr. (Elizabeth) and Rudolph H. Carey (Linda); and his fiancée Shirley Mallory. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
