He is survived by: his wife Marilyn C. Mona; his daughters, Jennifer Valacka (Raimund) and Amanda Turner (Michael); his stepchildren, Caroline Frye (Sam) and Joseph Schmidt (Lorena); his grandchildren, Jeremy Frye (Alice), Joseph Frye, Lukas Valacka, Emilia Turner, Gus Valacka and Ivy Turner; his great grandchildren, Melania Frye and Emma Frye; his siblings, James Hoffer (Ruth), Dennis Hoffer (Lorie) and Alice Hoffer Sinyard (Mike); and his friend Jean Souza.
