He is survived by: his children, Nadene Branham (Jonathan), Monica Johnson-Green, Tonya Scott (Bernard), Ricky Byrd, Jr. (Tajzsha) and Rico (Melissa); his siblings, Ronald Byrd (Phyllis) and Carolyn Jackson; his sister-in-law Hilda Byrd; his aunts, Lelia Carter and Gloria Chatman; his former wife Gwendolyn Johnson (Byrd) of Spotsylvania, VA; and his close friend Deidre Batton of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great grand children.
