He is survived by: his wife Jean Penney; his children, Don Penney (Brenda), Sandy Boppe (Jeff) and Wendy King; his grandchildren, Jesse King, Matt King, Stephen Boppe and Kelly Boppe; his parents, Chandos Penney and Ethel Penney; and his brother Norman Penney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Baptist Church or Bowling Green Fire and Rescue.
