She was predeceased by: her husband Lewis P. Blanton; her siblings, Margaret S. Blackley, Geraldine S. Beasley, Madeline S. Reynolds, E. Hunter Smith, Millard Andrew Smith, Sr. and Floyd Stevens Smith, Jr.; and her niece Hilda S. McCoy.
She is survived by: her daughter Scarlett Hill Blanton of Richmond; her grandchildren, Tara S. Bailey (Mario), Daniel Blanton Swisher, David W. Swisher and Paige H. Haley; her great grandchildren, Katelyn Bailey, Kendall Bailey, Kaden Swisher and Kamden Swisher; her sister Jocelyn S. Nuckols; and also Myrtle Rock.
All current Covid-19 restrictions will be observed, such as masks, social distancing and 50% capacity (approx. 60 people) of the chapel.
She served on the Caroline Electoral Board for twenty-two years and was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
