“John's mother, Belle, gave him the middle name Allen, after her brother Allen Fenton. Allen was my great grandfather. I was fortunate to meet my cousin, John, when he came to Md a few yrs ago to visit with me, my brother, and our mother Lillian. John had met our mom back in 1942, at a family reunion, in MI, when she was 12 yrs old. He shared the same passion of family history research as my brother and I, and we enjoyed sharing all what we had learned. What a special man he was. ~Valerie Landis”
