He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Bailey, Sr. and Lillian Frenzley Bailey; his grandparents, Nathaniel Bailey and Florence Robb; his brother Michael; and his sister-in-law Connie Bailey.

He is survived by: his nephew Lonnell Cole; his wife Brenda; his daughter Veronica "Nicole"; his stepsons, Lloyd Gregory, Jr. (Nikki) and Norrell Gregory (Keisha); his godchildren, Angela Rollins Williams and TJ Rollins; his siblings, Ernest Bailey, Pam Cole (Raymond), Florence "Sissy" Ball (Bryan) and Barnita Byrd (Clifford); his aunts, Barbara Payton, Rachael Jett, Winnie Henderson (Thomas), Evelyn Lewis and Rosie Frenzley; his uncle Willie Frenzley (Vernell); his nieces, Sydney, Courtney Ball, Mahogany and Denise Byrd; and his cousins, Marilynn Shelton (Lornell) and Troy Liggins (Angela). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
