He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell Brooks and Irma Brooks; his sons, Greg and Keith; his sister Jeannette Kirby; and his son-in-law Leonard Cahall.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Carter Brooks; his children, Debra Brooks Rizza (Paul), Kim Cahall and Jeff Brooks (Laura); and his siblings, Larry Brooks (Charmie), Waldo Brooks (Lorene), Roy Brooks (Rena) and Nancy Burruss (Red). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
