He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Dowdy and Christine Wertz Dowdy; and his sister Sharon Dowdy. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Sturgeon Dowdy; his son Michael Dowdy (Oksoon); and his brother Mark Dowdy.
