She was predeceased by: her husband John Richard Prater; her parents, Willie Hartman and Eva Leomi Hartman; her parents-in-law, Willie G. and Ida Belle Prater; her siblings, Thelma Bise, Gracie Ballinger, Betty Hartman, Lloyd Hartman, William Hartman, Leo Hartman, Gene Hartman and Carl Hartman; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Prater, Larry Prater, Gene Prater, Nellie Hawkins and Anne MacMahon.

She is survived by: her children, Michelle Young, Mike Young, Angela Jones and David Jones; her grandchildren, Mike Young, Jr., Chris Young, Jennifer Caveness (Tyler), Amanda Simmons and Autumn Simmons; her great grandchild Isabella Young of Chloe Caveness; her sisters-in-law, Bonnie Adcock, Aubrey Adcock, Rita Singer, Lori Paulette, Kathy Lunsford and Clarence Lunsford; and also, Ruth King, Kathleen Dunman, Darlene Dunman, Clarence Dunman (Doc), Dan Hartman, Darlene Hartman, Raymond Hartman, Kay Hartman, Cleo Hartman and Dolores Hartman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
