She was predeceased by: her parents, Lock Sharp and Minnie Sharp of Marlinton; her husband Bobby Lee Scruggs; her sons, Morgan, Larry and Hershel Defibaugh; her stepson Tommy Lee Scruggs; her stepgrandson Christopher Scruggs; and her siblings, Ralph, Raleigh, Russell, Junior, Rachel, Grace, Jean and Betty Lou.
She is survived by: her children, Sidney Defibaugh (Patricia), Nelson Defibaugh, Linda Overstreet, Gloria Gibson, Phyllis Defibaugh and Narvella Maxie (James); and her brother Clarence Shearer (Maxine). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren.
