With solemn reverence, we commemorate LaVerne Richards of Boones Mill, Virginia, whose life came to an end on January 20, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Conner and Elzora Conner; her husband Charles Richards Jr.; her son Barry Manning; and her brothers, Maynard, Harold, Jerry, Roger and Andy Conner.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Nicholson and Tim Manning; her grandson Adam Manning; her brother William Conner (Ibby); her sister-in-law Ann Vokanas (Bill); her nephew Doug Horchler; and her friend Frances Sink. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oakey's South Chapel. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rest Vale Cemetery (7529 Floyd Hwy N, Copper Hill, VA 24079).
