Jeanne Bernard Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jeanne Bernard of Boones Mill, Virginia, who passed away on July 5, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bassett Kee and Alena Smith Hall of Pulaski; her husband John Gordon "Johnny" Bernard of Boones Mill; her former husband Norbert B. Hamilton; her sisters, Elizabeth Lundy and Eleanor Moore; her children, Stephen Bernard (Anne), Gordon Bernard (Diane), Carolyn (Edward Hornick) and Philip Bernard (Thomas Grey); her grandchildren, Rebecca Hornick, John Hornick (Alexa) and Preston Bernard; her niece Betty T. Alby of Birmingham, Alabama.; and also, Johnny and Susan Gills.
Due to the ongoing pandemic and several family members who are at risk, the immediate family will hold a private service at the Boones Mill Christian Church with inurnment to follow in the church columbarium.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Free Clinic of Franklin County or consider planting flowers to make your own world a more beautiful place in Jeanne's memory.
