He is survived by: his children, Daryn Leigh Peters of Boones Mill, VA and Jeffrey Thomas Peters; his daughter-in-law Lori Messenger Peters of Rocky Mount, VA; his grandson Kyle Owen Peters of Roanoke, VA; and his stepgranddaughter Keira Ainsley Clemons.
