He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Wimmer and Nannie S. Wimmer; and his siblings, Gary A., Ricky L., Daniel E. Wimmer and Dreama S. Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Ramona J. Alcorn Wimmer; his children, Jennifer S. Burrell (Charles) and Bobby E. Wimmer Jr. (Jenny); his grandchildren, Kayla M. Hopkins (Bryan), Josephine A. Schilling (Jason), Kynlee G. Wimmer and Ryan E. Bayse; and his great grandchildren, Aiden L. Hopkins, Alexander G. Schilling and Addison G. Schilling. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lotz Funeral Home (1330 E Main St, Salem, VA 24153). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
