He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Columbus and Glenna Mae Fletcher Skeens; his wife Elizabeth Ann Thompson Skeens; and his brothers, Ricky Cardwell and Robert Skeens.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Skeens (Beverly) of North Tazewell, VA, Barbara Ratliff (Matt Tyree) of Kegley, WV, Melissa Skeens (Thomas Bishop) of Bluefield, VA, Gail "Booger" Hoback, Michelle Andrus (Sonny) of Bluefield, VA and Sarah Skeens (Shaun Jackson) of Green Valley, WV; and his siblings, Deborah Cardwell, Louise Crabtree, Edward "Pee Wee" Cardwell and Bucky Proffitt. He is also survived by 11 grandkids; 6 great-grandkids; numerous nieces and nephews; very dear and special friend.
